The Final Days of Teaching Practice

Monday, 6th October 2025

The week began with a profound sense of gratitude and accomplishment. After my usual arrival, I presented a small gift to my mentor, Binil Sir, as a token of appreciation for his unwavering guidance. His heartfelt blessings filled me with confidence. With all forty lesson plans completed, I enjoyed a peaceful interval reading in the library. The day's highlight came during my sixth-period class with 8.G, where I requested student feedback. Their sincere appreciation for my teaching methods and the clarity I brought to lessons touched me deeply. A concluding motivational conversation with Father Bijo George left me feeling proud and hopeful, closing a day rich with validation and encouragement.

This day was marked by significant milestones and heartfelt farewells. I arrived with the question papers for the achievement test, which I conducted smoothly during the third period. Watching my students in 8.G answer with focus and assurance was a rewarding testament to our work together. Later, while taking an extra class for 8.C, the students shared how much they would miss my lessons, reinforcing the positive connections I had built. The day was a fulfilling blend of academic assessment and emotional affirmation, underscoring the meaningful impact I had made in just a few weeks.

My final day was an emotional and memorable conclusion to the first phase of my teaching practice. I shared chocolates with students and staff as a gesture of thanks, and was deeply moved when my 8.G students surprised me with gifts and notes of appreciation. I made sure to personally thank the non-teaching staff, Father Bijo George, and Binil Sir, whose blessings and invitation to return for the second phase meant a great deal. The day culminated in photographs with teachers and friends, capturing the joy and camaraderie of this pivotal chapter. Leaving school at 4:15 p.m., I felt an immense pride in having completed this journey without a single day's absence, carrying forward a heart full of cherished memories and a reinforced dedication to the teaching profession.
