Teaching practice week 9

 Teaching Practice – Week 9

Monday, 29th September 2025

The week began on a highly productive note with my final observation class for the optional subject. I arrived at school promptly, equipped with teaching aids including a laptop, charts, coloured chalks, and reinforcement stars. With special permission from the class teacher, I conducted the session during the first period for 8.G instead of the usual sixth period. The class featured a role-play conversation activity, which the students participated in enthusiastically. I was pleased with the outcome, and my mentor, Binil Sir, provided invaluable feedback and encouragement. Later, I handled another class in the sixth period as scheduled. The day concluded with a reflective tea break with fellow trainees, followed by preparation for upcoming lessons. After signing the register at 4:15 p.m., I left feeling accomplished and motivated.

Tuesday to Thursday, 30th September – 2nd October 2025

These three days were observed as holidays due to the Pooja holidays and Gandhi Jayanti. The break provided an opportunity to rest and reflect on the experiences of the previous weeks, while also preparing for the remaining teaching practice responsibilities.

Friday, 3rd October 2025

Returning to school after the break, I began the day with morning line duty. I conducted my scheduled class for 8.G in the second period, which proceeded smoothly with active student involvement. During the third period, I handled a class in 8.C as my subject teacher was occupied, covering the same topic as in 8.G. In the fourth period, I took a substitution class for the 7th standard, which offered a valuable opportunity to interact with upper primary students. I also assisted with lunch-serving duty during the break. The afternoon included another class for 8.G in the seventh period. After completing my duties and signing the register at 4:15 p.m., I left, reflecting on a busy yet fulfilling day.

Saturday, 4th October 2025

Despite feeling slightly unwell and anxious about my Physical Education observation, I arrived at school on time. The observation was conducted successfully in the morning session. Later, I taught my scheduled class for 8.G during the third period, adhering to Tuesday’s timetable. During lunch, I shared meals with fellow trainees, and in the afternoon, I had an inspiring conversation with Binil Sir, who shared his teaching experiences and motivated me to further dedicate myself to the profession. As Saturday classes end early, I signed the register and left with a sense of fulfillment and renewed enthusiasm for teaching.
