Today marked an insightful third day of our school induction programme. I arrived at the school at 9:15 AM with my fellow teacher trainees. Our day began with signing the attendance register and participating in the staff prayer at 9:30 AM, setting a serene and focused tone for the day's activities. Following this, we joined the school prayer at 9:45 AM, reinforcing the sense of community and shared purpose among students and staff.
During the second hour, we had the opportunity to observe our mentor teacher's class in 10C. The session provided invaluable teaching insights as we witnessed effective classroom management and innovative teaching methods firsthand. Our mentor teacher's ability to engage students and create a dynamic learning environment was truly inspiring.
Later in the day, I conducted a substitution class in 9C. This experience was crucial for enhancing my teaching skills and building confidence in managing a classroom independently. The interactions with the students during this session helped me better understand their needs and learning styles.
At 12:45 PM, we assisted in the kitchen to arrange and serve the noon meal to the students, which was a rewarding experience. The act of serving meals emphasized the importance of community and teamwork in the school environment.
The day concluded with the National Anthem at 3:30 PM, leaving us with a sense of accomplishment and unity. This experience continues to enrich our understanding of effective teaching practices and student interaction, making each day of the induction programme a valuable learning opportunity.
