Week 8


Monday, 22nd September 2025

The week began with a dynamic day of teaching across different grades.After my timely arrival, I handled a substitution class in 6G during the third period, where I organized a reading competition. Despite the energetic and sometimes mischievous nature of the students, I managed the class effectively. Later, I conducted my regular, engaging lesson with 8D in the sixth period. The afternoon was spent in valuable discussion with fellow trainees, sharing experiences and preparing for the week ahead, making it a day of meaningful professional growth.


Tuesday, 23rd September 2025

Tuesday was a highly successful day in the classroom.Following my usual morning routine, I conducted my scheduled lesson for 8D during the third period. The session was particularly rewarding, marked by lively student participation and smooth classroom management. Afterward, I dedicated time to reviewing students' notebooks and providing constructive feedback. The school was buzzing with excitement in preparation for the upcoming Kalolsavam, contributing to a vibrant and fulfilling atmosphere throughout the day.


Wednesday, 24th September 2025

This day served as a bridge between academic duties and the impending cultural festivities.After completing curriculum preparations and discussions on teaching strategies with my peers, the school's focus shifted entirely to Kalolsavam rehearsals. I was formally assigned to the Programme Committee, signing the duty register in anticipation of the event. The day concluded with a substitution class in 8H, allowing for positive student interaction, all within the school's increasingly vibrant and anticipatory atmosphere.


Thursday, 25th September 2025 – Kalolsavam Day 1

The first day of Kalolsavam was both exciting and insightful.My role on the Programme Committee involved managing chest number distribution at the UP level alongside other teachers. The duty was well-organized, with breaks provided, and concluded by 3:00 pm. This allowed me to enjoy a diverse array of performances, including Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and various musical items. It was a joyful and culturally rich day that provided a deep appreciation for the school's vibrant extracurricular life.


Friday, 26th September 2025 – Kalolsavam Day 2

The final day of the week was dedicated to the conclusion of the festival.I resumed my Programme Committee duties in the morning, which wrapped up as the events concluded by 11:00 am. A celebratory lunch was served at 11:30 am, followed by an early dispersal of the school. I signed the register at 2:00 pm, leaving with valuable hands-on experience in event coordination and a profound sense of having contributed to a memorable school-wide celebration.

Weekly Insight:

This week was uniquely exciting,as it seamlessly blended my regular teaching responsibilities with active participation in the school’s Kalolsavam celebrations. I gained invaluable experience not only in classroom management and lesson delivery but also in the coordination and execution of large-scale cultural events. The festive spirit that permeated the school made the week incredibly enjoyable and provided profound learning opportunities that extended far beyond the standard academic curriculum.

Teaching practice week 7


Monday, 15th September 2025

The seventh week commenced productively.After my usual routine of signing the register and connecting with fellow trainees, I prepared for my scheduled class. I successfully conducted the lesson in 8.G during the sixth period. Later, I was asked to assist by teaching the same material to another section, 8.C, which I handled confidently. The day also included a productive session in the library for reference work, concluding with my departure at 4:15 PM after a day of valuable teaching and preparation.


Tuesday, 16th September 2025

Tuesday was a smooth and collaborative day.Following my timely arrival, I engaged in fruitful discussions with my peers about teaching strategies and student engagement. After carefully revising my lesson plan, I conducted my class in 8.G during the third period, which proceeded very well. The remainder of the day was dedicated to preparing for future lessons and enjoying a collegial tea break, making for a pleasant and engaging day before I signed out at 4:15 PM.


Wednesday, 17th September 2025

This day was a highlight of the week,marked by a significant academic activity. I successfully conducted a diagnostic test for my students in 8.G during the third period, and was pleased with their active and earnest participation. The afternoon was emotionally memorable, as we bid farewell to teacher trainees from another B.Ed. center. We shared our experiences, exchanged memorable moments, and took photographs together on their final day, blending meaningful assessment with heartfelt peer interaction.


Thursday & Friday, 18th & 19th September 2025

The latter part of the week was defined by the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test(KTET) examinations. With the tests underway, the regular school schedule was adjusted. These days were therefore dedicated to the administration of the KTET, and as a result, regular classroom teaching and other standard activities were suspended to facilitate the important examination process.





Weekly Reflection

This week was a rich blend of practical teaching,assessment, and professional camaraderie. From successfully managing classes and conducting a diagnostic test to sharing invaluable experiences with departing peers, each day contributed a unique layer to my development. The week underscored the balance between independent teaching responsibilities and the collaborative spirit essential to the teaching profession.

Teaching practice week 6

Monday, 8th September 2025

The week began with a return to school after the Onam vacation.I arrived on time and was warmly greeted by my mentor, Binil Sir, at the gate. After connecting with friends and exchanging Onam gifts, I was assigned to exam duty for NCC students. This provided a valuable new experience, as I distributed question papers and assisted in marking answer sheets for the first time. Although my planned 6th-period class was postponed so Sir could discuss exam results, the day was a positive and engaging restart to the teaching practice routine.


Tuesday, 9th September 2025

Tuesday was a significant day for my practical teaching.After a timely arrival and revising my lesson plan, I successfully conducted my first class in 8.G during the third period. As my mentor was occupied with exam corrections, he then requested I take an additional class on the same topic in 8.C, which I also handled confidently. Successfully teaching two different classes on the same day was a rewarding challenge that boosted my self-assurance in the classroom.


Wednesday, 10th September 2025

I continued my teaching responsibilities in 8.G with another class during the third period.Beyond classroom instruction, I dedicated time to preparing a lesson template for Physical Education. The collaborative spirit of the day was highlighted during lunch, which I enjoyed with friends, and later when I was again asked to support my mentor by taking another class in 8.C during the seventh period. The day was a balanced mix of independent planning, effective teaching, and collegial cooperation.


Thursday, 11th September 2025

Thursday presented a busy environment as many teachers were absent for a marriage function.After taking my scheduled class in 8.G during the sixth period, I once more assisted by teaching in 8.C. The day also provided valuable one-on-one time with Binil Sir, where we reviewed my lesson template and discussed various teaching methodologies. Despite the increased workload, the day was highly productive, offering deep insights into teaching and strengthening my mentor relationship.


Friday, 12th September 2025

The week concluded with another fulfilling and busy day.I started with morning line duty and, after a special assembly, conducted my class in 8.G. I was again entrusted with a class in 8.C and also helped with serving food during lunch. The day ended as it began, with line duty in the evening. Leaving school at 4:15 PM, I felt a strong sense of pride in how I managed my diverse duties and successfully navigated the challenges and rewards of the week.
